With a Masters in Library and Information Science, I have been teaching information and searching skills for over 25 years. Certified in Essential Coaching Skills, one of my strongest values is maximizing people's potential. Helping youth (and families) to find more scholarships they are eligible to apply for, explore their values, strengths and goals and take action toward the education and future of their dreams is the career of MY dreams.
When my own son was experiencing so much anxiety over what to write in those many, many college and scholarship essays about "what are your future goals and career plans?" we had to help him to clarify his strengths and goals so that he would be able to just start writing! He and his friends also complained about how hard it was to find any scholarships they were actually eligible to apply for. I decided to combine my Coaching Certification, my expertise in information, research and searching skills, my passion for facilitating learning and youth development, and my desire to help youth learn skills like research, goal-setting, organization, scheduling, project-management and social skills that would help them for the rest of their lives.
Our vision is to help maximize students' potential while helping them to minimize the cost of the education (and future) of their dreams - to empower them with independence and confidence in their college and career journey.
